KVPS, as Operator of VAN PHONG 1 Thermal Power Plant, has comprehensive and deep operation technology of the energy and power system that has built on the long-term experience of KOMIPO as one of the key energy suppliers in Korea, which holds the Guinness World Records title for continuous failure-free power plant operation spanning over 6,500 days.
We are focusing on solid performance and competitiveness of power plant operation in a Safe, Reliable and Sustainable way to respond to increasing electricity demand and environmental requirement as well as a safety consideration, which is our priority.
We are on the highest standards in power plant operation, applying the latest technology training process to train employees and improving operational skills, including a countermeasure for force majeure such as natural disasters to deal with safety accidents thoroughly.

KVPS takes place planning, performing daily operations, material and resource management, and implementing continual improvements to the power plant system. We are ensuring safe and secure operation on a 24/7 basis. A well-developed management system covering quality management, human resource, training programs, and document control allows us to achieve the best performance and show the best industry practice.
The expert group of KVPS is always ready to find the fastest solution for various issues, provides periodical assessments and monitors its performance to find items to enhance the power plant.
Maintenance
KVPS’ maintenance service provides stable power supply of Van Phong 1 thermal power plant with a wide understanding of the power system.
As a service provider, KVPS is focusing on solid performance in a cost-effective manner with its proven experience and well-designed routine & scheduled maintenance including technical advisory.
We support Van Phong 1 thermal power plant over the lifecycle ensuring power plant performance and competitiveness in a safe, reliable and sustainable way.
In the planning and mobilization phases, we are establishing the maintenance organization and integrated management system as well as the required digital solutions and safety systems. Facilitating smooth onboarding and getting the plant up and running on schedule are our highest priorities.
We train our employees to follow the highest standards in the fields of power plant maintenance. KVPS uses high quality 3D-CBT(Computer Based Training) program to train maintenance employees and conduct intensive study and group discussion on the maintenance cases.
KVPS reviews the technical documents & matters such as plant drawing, spare parts of the power plant and advises the technical issues raised during the construction and commissioning period and finds the best solution for them.
After the start of commercial operations, KVPS takes full responsibility for the maintenance of the Van Phong 1 thermal power plant, including planning, performing daily inspection, plant maintenance, material and resource management and implementing continual improvements of the power plant system.
KVPS is supported by Technical Expert Center of KOMIPO which is holding company of KVPS. More than 20 engineering/technical experts are ready to advise on unpredictable outage and any kinds of technical and operational issues.
The expert group of KOMIPO will provide the fastest solution for various issues and visit the power plant periodically to assess and monitor its performance and find items to enhance power plant.

We put Health, Safety as a high priority and integrate them into management of business. All employees and interested parties are accountable for managing and supporting our policy. With the optimal level of protection to health and safety, management of KVPS will commit to comply with health, safety related laws, regulations and other requirements related to KVPS activity.
Preventing incidents and occupational disease, we established goals for continual improvement of occupational health, safety and encourage participation, opinions and suggestions of all employees in creating safety awareness.
