Overseas Training

In line with O&M Agreement, KVPS pays great attention to the recruitment process, selecting bright and suitable candidates for each position. Besides training programs to improve skills of operation and maintenance, the board of management always gives top priority to ensuring that KVPS’ human resources to operate Van Phong 1 Thermal Power Plant achieve the highest efficiency and achieve KPIs performance in the life cycle twenty-five years of operating.

The employees are trained internally and externally by worldwide experts in the field of Thermal Power Plant. Internal training will be performed as classroom lecture style which includes operation course, maintenance course, and Q&A session. On the job training will be performed under EPC trainer’s supervision and responsibility to provide operation and maintenance skills.

Especially, the overseas training program to send KVPS staff to Korea to be trained by leading Korean energy experts is carried out annually with a frequency of twice per year to improve operation and management skills and update new technologies when the world changes. The training will consist of the principle of power plant, boiler, turbine and control system, the practical activities of cold start-up, unit shut-down, and troubleshooting.

In addition to the technical training program, the trainees also have a chance to learn about Korean culture, people, and society to create favorable conditions for maintaining good relationships in a multinational working environment.

Housing Facility

The housing facility project of Van Phong 1 Thermal Power Plant is planned and built on an area of more than 34,000m2.

Living at 12 Family residences and 96 Dormitories with full equipment and entertainment is one of the welfare policies that KVPS’ employees will be received.

Housing facility is expected to be put into operation in early 2023.
