KVPS organizes activities in response to World Environment Day and World Oceans Day 2024

In July 2024, responding to the theme of World Environment Day 2024 launched by the United Nations Environment Program, KVPS organized the following activities:

Hanging banners and posters

Banners and posters in response to World Environment Day and World Oceans Day are referred to from the website of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment for large-format printing and hanging in easily recognizable and visual locations at Van Phong 1 BOT Thermal Power Plant (Plant) such as the Plant Main Gate, Lobby of Admin Building, etc.  Also, we publish an environmental bulletin with the theme “Responding to World Oceans Day and World Environment Day” to communicate and spread the message of environmental protection to the awareness of entire employees and workers at the plant.

Mass housekeeping

All KVPS employees collect garbage in assigned areas, classify garbage (including hazardous waste, general industrial waste, and domestic waste), and gather the garbage at designated locations (there are separating containers for each type of garbage) to raise awareness of employees about environmental hygiene, garbage classification, and collection in the designated points in the Plant.

Tree planting

Employees from all departments of KVPS attended the meeting about World Environment Day and Action Month for the environment in 2024 to raise awareness among employees about environmental protection, creating a green and clean working environment, then participated in tree planting activities at assigned locations within the Plant. 54 trees including mangos, prunus arborea, roystonea regia, heliotropium foertherianum, barringtonia asiatica were planted on both sides of the Plant entrance gate and along the direction adjacent to the residential area, ensuring the Company’s commitment to ensuring green space at the Plant.
